Cuban-Swiss artist with an exceptional background, Jorge DANS has dedicated his life to art for more than 38 years, gracefully blending creation and transmission. Designer, engraver and passionate teacher, he has left his mark on the visual arts, both through his personal work and by his role as an inspiring pedagogue. After having taught in various institutions in Switzerland, he founded his workshop, ©DansART, in Geneva more than 26 years ago, a place where creativity and know-how meet.
Now based in Aubonne, Switzerland, after several years in the United States where his talent has shone, Jorge DANS embodies a rare synthesis between technical rigor and expressive freedom. But it is above all in animal art that his passion blazes: organizer of the "Salon d'Art Animalier de Montherod", he celebrates the beauty of life, capturing with poetry the essence and movement of wildlife.
His works are distinguished by a masterly balance between meticulous detail and beauty of colors. His compositions, almost hyperrealistic, never sacrifice emotional power; quite the contrary, they magnify it. Each stroke, each touch of pigment seems to be animated by a life of its own, like a lyrical tribute to nature.
A tireless experimenter, Jorge DANS draws from the history of art while reinventing his techniques. His style, immediately recognizable, merges with harmony post-impressionist, expressionist and even pop art influences, all tinged with a unique poetic sensitivity. This dialogue between precision and fluidity, between tradition and modernity, gives his pieces a captivating depth.
His artistic career has gained international recognition, a timeless work present in the permanent and private collections of museums, libraries and universities around the world, his creations transcend borders and eras.
